Starting with the engines, they are 100% Sterling, not knock-offs or Sterlings rebuild by another builder. These are FRESH 1550 supercharged big-blocks with PSI supercharges. Complete engine specifications and build sheets, with dyno reports, are available. True to the top shelf work at Sterling, the engines are dressed to match the exterior graphics.
#6 Speed-masters with vent-tubes propel this amazing boat, connected to the water through 5-blade Herring propellers.
The boat has a gorgeous custom paint job, generator, AC, shore power and will run at a blistering 125+ miles per hour with acceleration that will plant you in the bolster.
The boat sits on a tri-axle steel Myco trailer, with electric over hydraulic brakes and a spare tire.
The 47 Lightning platform is the same hull that ultimately became known as the “Cat Killer”, running with Sterling 1550’s on the Offshore Powerboat Racing circuits, blistering the course at over 160 miles per hour.
